From Student Union:
Today is International Men's Day and some people may ask why we need an International Men’s Day? Despite the overwhelming evidence that men and boys face a range of issues related to their physical, mental and social health and wellbeing, many people still persist in promoting a range of rigid gender stereotypes and clichés.
This day is a great opportunity to take part in a global conversation about manhood, masculinity and men’s issues by:
Highlighting some of the social issues than men and boys face
Making a difference for the men and boys in your community
Celebrating men and boys in all their diversity
Student Union would like to take this time to celebrate and appreciate all the male identifying persons in the school community. In the bathrooms you will find little messages from our community to you. We hope you remember you are all valued.
Finally, SU and JH Leadership would like to remind everyone that on Tuesday, November 23rd, come to school in a jersey as we participate in Jersey Day. Time to flaunt and support your favourite teams or just show off that athletic gear you really love.
